Pizza Party Roundup with Homemade Pizza Topping Ideas
super easy
Pizza Parties are the Best Parties
Just hearing the phrase “pizza party” evokes a childlike delight.
It means ease.
It means lots of cheese.
…and it means options.
Toppings are totally customizable, so you can have your favorite blend of flavors: you can create what “pizza” means to you. It is an exercise of self-expression, though it can sometimes lead to conflict when the number of pizzas is finite.
When you cook homemade pizzas, however, you can make many smaller pizzas and therefore craft many more permutations of topping combinations.
There are so many different pizza types and styles – you could go super traditional with Italian classics, very American a la Pizza Hut, or try your hand at something unusual and modern.
Hosting a Homemade Pizza Party
Having a pizza party with homemade pizzas can be very easy. You can go in armed with your favorite brand of jarred marinara sauce and buy a ready made pizza dough. (Trader Joe’s sells some great dough that you can spread and bake at home.
If you want to go fully homemade, pizza dough is also very easy to whip up with a bit of flour and yeast, like with King Arthur Flour’s pizza dough recipe.
For Low-FODMAP options, I usually use The Perfect Loaf’s sourdough pizza dough recipe or Gluten Free Palate’s gluten free pizza crust recipe.
Once you have that base, you can customize toppings easily – here’s a few pizza party ideas:
